STORY

Milwaukee was founded by a group of friends from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a Valencian living in Madrid, Spain, who shared a passion for bringing butterburgers to everyone. Their story, built on almost 15 years of friendship, travels and life experiences from Milwaukee to Madrid, inspired them to introduce the classic luncheonette "lunch counter" service to Spain. Milwaukee brings the original Wisconsin Butterburger to its new home. No reservations and definitely no lettuce, they serve burgers, beers and lots of butter.

THE HISTORY OF THE LUNCHEONETTE "LUNCH COUNTER"

Luncheonette, or lunch counter, is a small, casual restaurant where diners sit at a counter to be served, offering simple, quick meals such as burgers and milkshakes. Originating in the early 20th century, they became icons of American culture in the 1950s and 1960s, serving as social hubs across the country. Luncheonettes typically have a counter where diners can watch the kitchen in action, adding to a casual, interactive dining experience. Milwaukee adopted this classic style for its butterburgers, bringing the nostalgic American experience to its customers in Spain.
